1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Dr. Michael Dorizas Memorial Scholarship honors the late Dr. Michael Dorizas, a widely respected educator, lecturer and athlete. Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited four-year college or university, or they must be high school seniors accepted for enrollment in such a degree program, and have outstanding academic qualifications. Applicants must also be of Greek descent or a student who has declared major in Hellenic Studies, regardless of heritage. High school seniors may submit their SAT/ACT scores, if available. One recommendation letter is required for undergraduate scholarships. For high school seniors, letters from guidance counselors, academic advisers, teachers, or professors are preferred. Letters from personal acquaintances are to be avoided if possible. For undergraduate students, letters from university professors are preferred but letters from internship supervisors are considered appropriate. Two essays are also required.
