1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Brian M. Day Scholarship is available for gay men of color with significant financial need who are committed to and active in their Puget Sound communities. Applicants must be pursuing post-secondary education in the coming 2025-2026 school year. This includes community college; four-year public or private college or university; certificate programs; vocational, technical, trade programs; law school; medical, dental, veterinary school; or graduate education. Three essays are required, the Personal Statement and the Community Involvement essay may be submitted in written form or a video essay. Optional materials that can be included with the application are academic transcripts; resume with work experience, school activities and honors, and extracurricular and community activities, including volunteer roles, arts, and/or activism; a letter of recommendation; and 1-2 writing or art samples. Transcripts are only required for applicants from Washington. Applicants from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, or Oregon are not required to submit transcripts.
