1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
The Foundation Education Award Scholarship is awarded to specified underrepresented minority medical students who are Pennsylvania residents attending a Pennsylvania medical school. Applicants must be a Pennsylvania resident for at least 12 months prior to registering as a medical student; not including time spent attending an undergraduate or graduate school. Applicants must be of the following racial or ethnic groups: African American or Black; Hispanic or Latino; Native American (American Indian, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian); or Southeast Asian subgroup (Vietnamese, Cambodian, Indonesian, Laotian). Applicants may receive a maximum of two scholarship awards. Applicants must submit two reference letters from persons other than family members, documenting their integrity, interpersonal skills, and potential as a future physician. One reference letter must be from a physician or medical school faculty. A letter from the applicant's medical school verifying that they are enrolled full-time as a medical student at their institution is also required.
