Wichita State University is a public, comprehensive university. Founded in 1895 as a private college, it joined the state system of higher education in 1964. It is located on a beautiful 330-acre campus in Wichita, the largest city in Kansas. Students have fantastic educational, economic and entertainment opportunities. While obtaining a degree, students can get valuable work experience at companies like Boeing, Raytheon Aircraft, Cessna Aircraft, Coleman, Bank of America, Bombadier Aerospace Learjet, Via Christi Regional Medical Center, Wesley Medical Center and Koch Industries.
