1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
For the Aulani Resort 10th Anniversary Scholarship, the Hawai'i Community Foundation requires applicants to be a resident of the State of Hawaii, demonstrate financial need, and be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7. At the same time, the donor also requires applicants to be a resident of West Oahu, as defined by the following cities/zip codes: Ewa Beach, 96706; Kapolei, 96707; Kunia, 96759; Wahiawa, 96786; Waialua, 96791; Waianae, 96792; and Waipahu, 96797. The donor also requires applicants to enroll at an accredited college or university to pursue a degree in Travel Industry Management (hospitality/tourism) or Hawaiian Studies (language/culture). Preference will be given to recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing. Students of Native Hawaiian descent, as self-identified through the application process, are also preferred.
