1st Financial Bank USA wants to celebrate those who recognize the importance of pursuing educational and financial goals with the 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship.
Selected Professions Fellowships are awarded to women who intend to pursue a course of study at accredited U.S. institutions during the fellowship year in one of the designated degree programs where women's participation traditionally has been low. The application is open to women, including people who identify as women, who have achieved high standards of academic excellence and show promise of distinction in their respective fields. Priority is given to women who do not already hold a master's or first professional degree. The following disciplines and master's level degrees are eligible for fellowship funding: Architecture (M.Arch.); Computer/information science (MS); Engineering (ME, MS); and Mathematics/statistics (MS). The following disciplines are open only to women from ethnic minority groups historically underrepresented in these certain fields within the United States: Business administration (MBA); Law (JD); and Medicine (MD), (DO). Two recommendations are required. At least one must be from a professor under whom the applicant has studied recently. Medical students are required to submit a dean's letter as one of their two letters of recommendation. Architecture students must submit reproductions demonstrating a range of their design projects.
