Southeastern Louisiana, founded in 1925, is a public, comprehensive university. Programs are offered through the Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business and Education; and the School of Nursing. It has a good academic reputation and friendly atmosphere. Its 375-acre main campus is located in Hammond, 55 miles from New Orleans and 40 miles from Baton Rouge. Branch campuses are located in Baton Rouge and Covington.
